- Herschel E. Chalk III

Poltical_PicHerschel Chalk is recognized internationally as an influencer in the areas of personal branding, leadership development, marketing campaigns, organizational expansion and corporate launch strategies. He is an entrepreneur and bridges many disciplines as a coach and consultant to organizations and small businesses as CEO and Managing Director of Niche Marketing Strategies and Founder of The Xochitl Project. He also educates future entrepreneurs as a frequent guest lecturer at UC Clermont College and Great Oaks Career Campuses. He is a speaker, blogger and columnist with El Sol De Ohio newspaper.

Having spent the greater part of the past decade generating innovative and breakthrough ideas Herschel has been widely recognized for his success in building and implementing various programs and initiatives within the various sectors.

Prior to founding Niche Marketing Strategies, Herschel was Senior Marketing and Research Manager with LaVERDAD Marketing and Media, an award winning Hispanic owned and certified minority business that quickly became one of the largest and most recognized names bringing ethnic consumer insights and marketing strategies to Fortune 1,000 companies with a clientele including Procter and Gamble, Toyota, State Farm and Cintas. Most recently nationally recognized as minority business of the year. Previously, he also worked in government relations and strategy with the California Legislature under State Senator Richard Alarcon. While with the State Senators office, Herschel championed efforts to build and sustain relations among a diverse group of constituents. In that role, he is credited with authoring a brief history of the African American and Latino relations in the San Fernando Valley. In each role, Herschel has won praise for building coalitions and widespread support among a common strategy.

He is a YMCA Black/Latino Achiever, a member of the Cincinnati World Affairs Council and serves on the boards for the PERT Foundation and Good Foundation Learning Center, in addition to being a 2011 graduate of the Urban League African American Leadership Development Program.

Herschel holds a BA in Political Science and Spanish, Certification in Paralegal Studies, and a MA in International Affairs from Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and now serves as the scholarship chair in the Ohio region for his beloved alma mater. A native of Cincinnati, Herschel was raised in a working class family who were deeply committed to hard work and entrepreneurism. His lifetime goal is to help increase the cultural competence of the masses through his marketing and outreach efforts. In addition to being a 15-year Army Veteran in his spare time Herschel enjoys being a private pilot, skydiving, running and yoga.
